Buying a property here in Spain isn’t hugely different to buying in your home country and you will hear phrases such as “land registry” and “Notary” which you will no doubt be familiar with but one must have a lawyer to dig deeper and make sure that there are no skeletons or debts registered against the property and that the property can be delivered free of an encumbrances, taxes, liens or unseen problems that may arise when it is to late.
